Why do people think you should move your car when they honk, after
they made a foolish choice?
Why does the media portray things are better, when unemployments at a
25 year high?
Why does our government trade with China and not Cuba? They are both
communist and hate us.
Why do people think that we can't hit a massive depression?
What does it say about our President, when Hugo Chavez is affraid that
Obama makes him and Castro look like conservatives?
Do you know what progessives in the Dem.party are?
Do republicans realize that true conservatives are found in the
libertarian party?
What will be great for our country will be a strong third party.

Cuba

During my trip to Cuba, we stayed at a baptist camp just outside of
Matanzas. We were there to help the workers of the camp do labor on
projects they needed done. We dug filters for a new building, we
hauled block. We made concrete and help to finish a sidewalk. One
worker at the camp had concrete spilled all over his shoe. We would
just go and change our shoes with one of our other ten pairs here in
the U.S. In Cuba most people have only one pair, two if they're lucky.
I as well as most of our team plan to leave as much of their clothing
behind when we left. I got to give my shoes earlier than expected.
This is the picture of said shoes, slightly worn. Ocassionally, I used
them for work. They are a cheap pair I bought from Walmart and not the
most comfortable. You wouldn't have known that by the way I was
thanked! The worker told us he was very thankful and they felt great.
Most Americans would have said, no thank you, to my offer of these
shoes. We could use some of this ग्रातितुदे

Freedom Garden update

My garden has done much better than it did my first year. I have pick
about six cucumbers with at least six more on the vine. Last year I
got none, so I am excited about that. It's nice that they don't have
that wax you get when you buy them from the store, just wash and eat.
I have about 15 tomatos with fifty more on the plants growing. My
plants are six to seven feet tall and still growing. I am trying to
keep a running total so I can find out how much I have saved, I'll
post that latter.

Cuba or bust

This Friday May 1, I will be heading to Cuba for my first mission
trip! I will be with a group of nine and we will be helping a baptist
camp. We don't know all the details but we do know we will help in
construction and repairs around the camp. In the evenings we will do
evangalism. I am excited about the trip and helping others. This will
be my first taste of not having freedom and luxuries. I will see
people who can't say what they feel about their government. People
that can't be what they want to be, or make as much as they want to
make, because of where they live. I want for the week I am there to do
all I can do for Christ, and hope to make a difference in some lives.

Out of Bondage!

Wow, I have not posted in awhile! Partly becuase my computer has been
down and can't afford to fix it. I am choosing to make a change in my
life and no, it doesn't involve whips chains and handcuffs. I am
getting out of the bondage of debt! Charlie encouraged me to read Dave
Ramseys The Financial Money Makeover, I think that's the correct
title. I am commited to do what it takes to get totally out of debt.
There is no better time to start than now for me. On Moday I'll be
turning 41 and I am setting a goal to be debt free by 45 including my
house. I will periodically keep posting updates hoping it will
encourage others to do the same. So wish me the best, and read the
book! He does not give you an easy way to make a quick buck, but has
you to work alot and spend little. Do not reward yourself now but do
it latter and with cash.

Use Me!

So, Ive been trying to post YouTube videos with no luck. I don't think
I am doing things differently just getting different results. The
video I am trying to post is Use Me by Bill Withers. I heard the song
many times not really knowing much about the artist. So I decided to
find out more about him and was amazed. He also sang the hits "Aint no
Sunshine" and "Lean on Me". These are some classic tunes that you
should check out, you won't be disappointed! Listen to "Use Me" and
let me know your thoughts. I will hope to find out what I am doing
wrong so I can post videos again.
